2026 Welcome Letter

We are thrilled to welcome you and your teams to the ICE MELTER LEGACY Tournament in our beautiful Lakeland communities. Get ready for a really fun and competitive lacrosse experience!

We are happy to have your teams join us. Your being here makes the tournament lively and diverse, bringing people together from different places. It doesn't matter if you're
from a busy city or a quiet town in Alberta – everyone shares a love for lacrosse,
showing great teamwork and fair play. When you play with determination and excitement, it inspires us and shows off the best of Alberta's lacrosse talent. Below are some key details to help you prepare for the upcoming tournament:
Dates: May 8th - 10th, 2026
Rink Locations:
We are utilizing 5 arenas this year.
Cold Lake, Alberta:
Cold Lake North Arena: 1703 6 St, Cold Lake, AB T9M 1L5
Bonnyville, Alberta:
Centennial Center: 4313 50 Ave, Bonnyville, AB T9N 0B4 (3 surfaces)
Glendon, Alberta:
Glendon Arena: 1 Ave and Main St Glendon
 
The Ice Melter Tournament will be using the RampGamesheets app for score keeping.
If you are helping with scorekeeping, you MUST download the app ahead of time. A scribble game sheet will be provided in the box to write down information from the referees to then enter it into the RampGamesheets app.
 
Tournament Highlights:
- Competitive matchups: Prepare for intense and skillful lacrosse games against teams
from various regions.
-SWAG orders will be available to pick up at the welcome table before your first game along with player coaches gifts
- Teams that learn the Heat Hussle and post it to our instagram or email admin@lakelandlacrosse.org will be entered into a draw for a pizza party on Saturday night
- 10 mini Ice Melter Brickmen will be hidden around the arenas (2 per surface). Bring it to the closest welcome desk to claim your prize!
- Scenic Lakeland backdrop: Enjoy the picturesque beauty of the Lakeland, providing a
unique setting for both players and spectators.
- Community engagement: Experience the warmth and hospitality of the local
community as they come together to support and celebrate the tournament.
 
50/50 DRAWS AND RAFFLE TABLE:
A progressive 50/50 draw will be held over the weekend. Tickets are sold online through
Rafflebox. Find the QR code and scan with your phone’s camera to see 50/50 total
updates. 50/50 sales will end on Sunday at noon.
Raffle tables will be located at the C2 Center in Bonnyville, and will be debit/credit or
cash. Raffle table sales will end after the first intermission of the Junior B game on
Saturday night in Bonnyville.
 
There will be a Liquor Wagon and Toonie Stick at both the North Arena in Cold Lake
and the C2 in Bonnyville, in addition to a Toonie Stick in Glendon. Payments will be
cash only at the Energy Center and Glendon.
Winners will be posted on the Ice Melter facebook page, and prizes must be picked up
by 1:00pm on Sunday May 10th, 2026.
Social Event:
In addition to the thrilling lacrosse tournament, we invite all teams to attend the
Lakeland Heat’s Junior B Game against the Sherwood Park Titans on Saturday, May
9th, 2026. Admission is free to all athletes, staff, and family of Ice Melter Athletes.
There will also be a Bonnyville Farmers Market at the C2 Center in Bonnyville on
Saturday, from 11-2pm. Come enjoy locally grown fruits and veggies, delicious baked
goods, and many different artisans.
CanLax, your one stop shop for all your lacrosse stick needs, will have a table set up at
the C2 Center in Bonnyville all weekend.

Awards and Medals
? One player from each team will be awarded “player of the game” decided upon
by the team coaches, and presented after each game.
? One player from each team will be awarded “Heart & Hustle” decided upon by
the team coaches, and presented after each game.
? A player can only win each respective award once during the tournament.
 
? The awards will be given to coaches/managers in their team package when they
check in for their first game at the respective raffle/registration table.
? Medals will be awarded as follows: Gold/Silver for U15/U17
Gold/Silver/Bronze for U9/U11/U13
